The OCC Lady Knights pick up a big road win over the John A. Logan Lady Vols this evening by the final score of 61-49.  A slow start for both teams led to a sloppy first half. The Lady Vols came out after the first half and jumped to an early lead thanks to a 7 point run by SOphomore Kiera Whitaker.

The Lady Knights responded with a 23-8 fourth quarter to secure the road win.  OCC was 10-14 from the line in the fourth quarter in route to the 12 point victory. 

OCC was led in scoring by Melaina Zedalis's 19 points to go along with 6 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 assists.

Lanie Lipps added 17 points to go with 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.

Jamia Jones had 10 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 blocks.

Shelby Seay had 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

Samantha Secrest added 6 points and 8 rebounds.

Jenna Roth only scored 2 points in the win, but added 6 rebounds, and 2 assists.  

With the win the Lady Knights improve to 14-10 (7-3 GRAC, 7-4 Region 24) with thre regular season games remaining. OCC will host IECC foe Wabash Valley on Saturday in the Dungeon.  The ladies will tip-off at 1:00 as part of a men's/women's double header.
