The Lady Knights softball team has released their spring 2025 schedule. The 60-game schedule consists of 16 non-region games agains some of the best junior colleges in the country before starting region play that is 44-games long with doubleheaders both home and away against the other 11 region members.  

The season starts February 15 with a DH at Columbia State CC followed by a DH at Jackson State CC, both in Tennessee.  The next weekend will allow the Knights to play against some of the country's "blue bloods" in JUCO softball.  Saturday February 22 opens with a game against Blinn College (TX) and ends with a contest with 2-time NJCAA National Champions Wallace State-Hanceville.  On Sunday the 23rd, OCC will play 21-time National Tournament qualifier Indian Hills (IA) before concluding with the 2012 National Champion Chattanooga State, who is ranked #15 in the NJCAA preseason poll. 

The final preseason games will take place in Myrtle Beach, SC where the Lady Knights will have 8 games on their docket. 

Region and conference play begins March 9 at Rend Lake.  Spoon River is a newcomer to the region for softball only, after having spent their time at the DII level.  This requires a trip to Canton, IL on March 16 and the return trip to Olney on April 12th. 

Postseason play begins May 3 where the top 4 teams will host the First Round of the Region XXIV Tournament with the best-of-3 winner will move on to the Final Four hosted by John A. Logan College in Carterville, IL. That will run from May 8-10.
